After a pretty much humbling loss at the hands of Khabib Nurmagomedov in October, Conor McGregor has been putting absolutely everything into his training and really seems to mean business.
Having been forced to submit by Khabib, in what was his second defeat in his UFC career and the second to come form as submission, the Irishman is focusing on grappling and jiu-jitsu – putting in the rounds with his training partner Dillon Danis.
And in a post on his Instagram which features a video of his training, McGregor has detailed the changes and improvements he is making to slowly but surely become a better-all-rounder.
Specifically, he details how he went into his last training camp ahead of the Khabib fight and got his approach all wrong.
He says he “disrespected his own attacking game” and went too top-heavy on the defensive side by letting “outside interference filter into my own thinking”.
But the former two-weight champ says that’s not the case now and promises to tear his opponents apart “one by fucking one”.
Who will be McGregor’s next opponent, then? Instead of the rematch with Khabib straight away, it seems as though his next bout will see him tussle with ‘Cowboy’ Donald Cerrone.
McGregor is free to fight from April onwards once his suspension expires and Cerrone teased a July clash between the two.
